My chair is a manifestation of the academic, athletic, and socially transformative experiences that shaped my high school years. Drawing inspiration from the intensely subjective and emotive styles of the Expressionist art movement, I infused the design with elements of competitiveness, intensity, and loyalty, symbolizing and extending the essence of these formative experiences. The chair’s slightly forward yet relaxed angle represents a persistent drive to improve, balanced by a deep appreciation for past experiences and lessons learned. Functionally, it serves as a place of relaxation and ongoing reflection.
